Vehicle Description 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe - Sky Blue with full red interior One owner - numbers matching - fully restored and finished mid-2019 by Across the Pond Restoration.
A perfect example of this style of car and easily a Concours contender.
A one-owner car purchased in Connecticut, eventually moved to Ohio.
The one owner enjoyed it until the early 1980s when he acquired a well used 1955 Speedster and stored 356C until he sold it in mid-2016 when its three year restoration began.
Being a one owner car, it was well maintained and in fairly good shape for a northern car.
Of course, it needed sheet metal work in all the typical places.
New metal has been professionally installed in the floor boards, rocker panels, door frames and bottom skins.
Original upper body sheet metal was all fine as was the hood and trunk metal.
The paint was taken down to the metal throughout and fully blasted for a complete refresh.
All metal work was finished to the highest standard focusing on keeping extremely consistent gaps throughout.
All VIN# stampings are fully intact and legible as are the five-date stamped wheels and matching numbers engine and transmission.
New chrome added where needed, but original pieces have been kept and polished to near factory look wherever possible.
Engine, transmission, and suspension parts have been fully rebuilt.
This car has been professionally repainted in the original color of Sky Blue.
A complete interior has been reupholstered from the seats and carpet to the headliner.
All gauges, knobs, glass, etc.
have restored or rebuilt to factory standards and appearance.
This car was truly a complete ground-up restoration that left nearly nothing to do but start it up and drive it home.
Driving this car home will feel as close to driving a car like this off the showroom floor as you'll ever get.
This car also has a wonderful paper trail.
The one owner has provided the Hoffman paperwork from Germany to the port of entry, the Hoffman import receiver sheet, the Hoffman sales sheet to the dealership (Lee Circle, Inc.
) in Milford, Connecticut, and the original invoice to the owner, purchased in February of 1965.
Additional paperwork includes the original owners manual (slightly used), the service record booklet (used), and a modern certificate of authenticity from Porsche.
